The rapper is known to be an active advocate for body positivity and a lot of other issues. She is assertive when pointing out the capabilities of women, and openly supports the LGBT community.

She even tells fans during her concerts to stay in school, or should we say, stay at home since most schools have shifted to online classes with the ongoing pandemic. Her songs also send out the message that she didn’t get to where she is for her body or by doing favors for anyone, but because of her incredible talent.

Mariah Carey

Having born to a mother who is an opera singer, it is easy to see why Mariah Carey is a natural when it comes to singing. As she got older, she developed a thicker frame and has always been criticized for it. Blogs and gossip sites would always point out her curves and would say that her abs are just a product of contour.

After receiving all these criticisms, the pressure got to Carey and she decided to get gastric sleeve surgery. Though she is not what most would consider “skinny”, she now is happy and proud of her body.
