JENNIFER JASON LEIGH

Jennifer Jason Leigh thrilled audiences with her performance in Single White Female, but before this film, she already received much acclaim for her role in Fast Times at Ridgemont High as Stacy Hamilton. Like others on our list, Leigh moved from acting to writing and directing. In 2001, she co-directed the film The Anniversary Party with Alan Cumming. Despite switching gears, Jennifer never really stopped appearing in various film and TV productions.

She had a recurring role in the Showtime series Weeds and even got featured in Quentin Tarantino’s The Hateful Eight.

Over the years, her industry investments have been honored with multiple awards, including some from Golden Globes and BAFTA. Her role in The Hateful Eight also earned Leigh her first Academy Award nomination. At present, she has three projects slated for release in 2021, including The Woman in the Window.
